Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening has become the most requested cosmetic dentistry in recent years. We may not have been born with white bright teeth, or our teeth may be stained due to smoking, tea, coffee, mouth washes or many other food stuffs.

Teeth can be made whiter and lighter!

Methods

Take home mouthguard bleaching

The dentist will take an impression of your teeth to make a mouthguard. He will then instruct you on how to use it with a bleaching gel. Then you can take your mouthguard home, and you regularly apply the gel for a specified period of time over two to four weeks until to achieve the desired results.

Light accelerated bleaching

A type of teeth whitening system that a dentist can provide is called laser whitening. A bleaching product is painted onto your teeth and then a light or laser is shone on them to activate the whitening. This treatment can take about an hour.

The type/method used will depend on the severity of the discolouration and your health.
